Starting Anew in Social Media

In a world dominated by social media, it can be a daunting task for a business to try and grow their platforms. Not only that but each platform is used for a different purpose and are frequented by different demographics. How do you keep a consistent brand image all throughout? Things like even having a blog such as this one could be considered a form of social media. How would it look for an insurance agency to try and create such content?

At Great Park Insurance in Irvine, CA, our primary purpose is to provide quotes and assistance with home insurance, auto insurance, and life insurance to name a few. However, we have decided to try our hand in something entirely new. Instead of using traditional marketing like ads, we decided to give more effort into our social media. We believe that letting our members take a look into our office life will create a more homey and natural atmosphere.

At the start, the platforms we were already on were Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. For a business, these sites are a must have. With Instagram, we are able to showcase our professional photos as well as inspirational quotes from time to time. Instagram stories make it even easier to share our daily office life like eating altogether or sharing our board quote of the day. Facebook is also tied with our Instagram, making it easier to share our content to even more people. LinkedIn was not being utilized as much but we did have a neat business page for potential applicants and clients to look at should they be curious about our company.

Now, we are continuing use of those platforms, as well as adding TikTok and Twitter to the group. These are the platforms that are primarily used by a younger demographic. What purpose would an insurance agency have with these apps? For one, we thought it would be a good way to just make content for the fun of it. It is a more casual way to display our personalities. However, we also understand the power of social media when it comes to information. We want to be able to provide educational content as well because the world of insurance can definitely be a confusing one.

The part of the process we are at now is probably where we decide how best to shape our branding. Although social media can be forgiving in terms of allowing different types of content to succeed depending on which platform it is that you are using, there should still be an overall, unifying message. At Great Park Insurance, we still believe that it is our utmost priority to satisfy our members as best as we can. Not only do we want to continue providing you with our excellent customer service, we want to be able for our members to get to know us as well.
